Antwerp’s Chinese community celebrates the Year of the Dragon. Artists perform the traditional Lion dance and pretend to eat the cabbage hanging above the entrances of Chinese owned businesses after which the spit the remains back at the owners. This ritual symbolises a blessing cast upon the business by the Lion.
