Ahmed is a Palestinian writer, currently residing in Belgium. Through his poetry he tries to put into words the occupation of Palestinians in Palestine and to soften the harshness of the blockade. Using his poetry as a tool to speak up about Palestine and engage others in the discussion, he aims to add something to the collective literature and memory of Palestine. In this short documentary he talks about what activism means for him, a Palestinian, who has never made his own choice in life and whose life has been directed by the Israeli occupation. In this intimate documentary he shows us how, for Palestinians, survival alone is activism.
